Meet Lena! She is a 9 month old terrier mix. Lena is a sweet and gentle puppy that loves to be by your side. She gets a little shy when you approach her and displays submissive behavior but her tail is still always wagging! She gets along very well with humans and children, including toddlers, and would be a great family pet. Lena also gets along with other dogs, and has learned how to play tug-of-war and fetch from her 50 pound foster brother!
Lena is currently being potty trained and has gotten the hang of it quickly. She walks very well on a harness but doesn’t enjoy walking with her collar as much. She is also crate trained and plays well independently in an enclosed playpen with some of her favorite toys. She rarely barks, but does whine when she’s left alone for the first few minutes. Lena shows slight resource guarding with other dogs when she is in her playpen with her food bowl, but we noticed she does not display the same behavior when her bowls are out in the open. We hope that her future family can pour all their love into her and give her the home she deserves!
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Lena is patiently waiting!
