Meet Kota! Kota is an adorable 8 year old Lab mix. She came from Savannah, Georgia. Her owner passed away unexpectedly. The deceased’s children surrendered her to a high-kill shelter and requested that she be euthanized. The shelter felt like she would be an ideal dog for anyone. She ended up in California after the cousin of the deceased said she would foster Kota.

Kota is a total love bug with humans and shows no fear or anxiety. She is a very trusting dog. She is respectful of other dogs and walks away from any dog who growls at her. She does not engage in play with other dogs but this might change. She loves to snuggle up on the couch and will go in her crate if you point to it. She will wait for permission to come out even if the door is open. Her recall is outstanding. She is a well-balanced dog who adjusts well to change. The only time she can be a handful is when she is in the car waiting to go on an adventure; she barks with excitement. Her fur is soft and she has round loving eyes.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Kota is patiently waiting!
