Meet Kodi! He’s a gentle, calm, and derpy dog! He’s 3 year old and 19 pounds. No one really knows what breed he is but his foster parents describe him as having a corgi shaped body type with the face of a border collie and some spaniel mix. He’s potty trained, only barks occasionally at the local Amazon delivery guy, and he sleeps through the night in his crate. He is so mellow and would be perfect for first time dog owners.
Some of his quirks include being a picky eater (be prepared to find the right diet for him), “purring” when he receives cuddles in just the right spot, and he loves to follow his foster mom around the home (sorry dad). Most of the day he loves to curl up into a donut and sleep underneath his foster mom’s desk while she works.
If you’re looking for a pup who likes indoor living and watching Netflix, he’s the pup for you! He likes going on two walks a day around the neighborhood and is usually exhausted afterwards, so if you’re looking for a pup who wants to go on a hike with you, sorry! Leash training is needed, but he’s getting better (we recommend a front harness). After some initial shyness, he’s friendly when meeting new low energy dogs and humans, but loud noises and sudden movements make him jump a little initially. He would do well as an only dog (so he can get all the cuddles for himself) or with a sibling who is mellow like him.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Kodi is patiently waiting!
