Meet Jiho! Jiho flew in from Korea and is about 5 months and ~14lbs. He is a small Jindo mix and he’ll grow another 5-10lbs heavier at the most. Jiho is a high energy puppy and would do zoomies all day if he could! He is sweet and affectionate with his human; loves belly rubs, and will run up to you and put his paws on you to “check in.” Jiho is food driven and loves playing with his toys. He is initially wary of new dogs and people so slow, calm introductions are strongly encouraged. However, once he warms up, he is very playful, social, and spunky! He adores Loki (his foster brother) and wants to play with him all day. Loki has been busy correcting him and teaching him important social cues. But, his foster has been focusing a lot on his crate training to give Loki breaks from Jiho’s rambunctious pouncing. Jiho is mischievous and very curious so continuing his crate training is very crucial when he has to be left alone. He will definitely get into things he’s not supposed to!

Jiho is almost housebroken, is decent on the leash, and travels well in the car. His foster is working on slowly exposing him to more outdoor stimuli as much is still new to him. He is a tad skittish on walks and loud, sudden noises (like cars revving) do spook him.

Jiho needs a home that understands the responsibilities of raising an energetic puppy, and can commit to his training so he can become a well behaved and happy dog! He would thrive with a family with another dog, but would still do well if he’s the only dog if his new home stays committed to his socialization. Jiho is patiently waiting!

He is currently being fostered in San Jose.
