Meet Hou (aka Holly!) Holly is a sweet and playful 9 months old Sapsali mix.  She was rescued as a puppy from euthanasia list in South Korea.  Her Korean name is 호우 (Hou) which means heavy rains.

Holly gets along with the foster’s two small dogs.  She is scared of bigger dogs and can be a little defensive with them if she is on leash.  Holly loves cats and wants to play with them.  She has yet to learn to “leave it” and not to chase the cats. Holly loves to run and will chase anything that moves.  She will be great for an active family and will love a home with a big yard.

Holly is wary of strangers and will bark if people or dogs approach too quickly.  She does have some fear issues and will need a family with patience to help her build confidence.  She is food motivated and is very affectionate once she opens up.

Holly is very smart and well mannered.  She has already mastered basic commands like sit, down, paw and wait.  She will wait by the door politely to indicate she wants to go outside.  She likes to sleep by her foster’s desk when she works and snuggles up to her on the couch to watch TV together.  She does okay at home alone for a few hours and will self entertain with toys and kongs.  She does have a bit of shoe fetish and will bring foster’s shoes to her bed, but she’s very gentle and has not done any damage so far.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy.  Holly is patiently waiting!
