Meet Honey! She was found with her friend Frank first thing in the morning on a weekend day at a park in a fenced tennis court area with a food bowl. She was in pretty decent shape but had long overgrown nails. She was not microchipped and not fixed. She has been chipped and spayed. Her recovery from spaying was slow but she has recovered well now. She has been with her foster home for a bit and instantly wanted cuddles and loves and seemed to be reassurance she wasn’t going to be “left again”.

Getting to know her: She responded to “Honey” right away and so her foster family think it’s her name. Tried a few names but she only responded to Honey. She is so sweet and cuddly, she just wants to be a lap dog with her forever person. She has been great with the neighbor’s kids and other dogs on the trail. She would love to be a little explorer if given the chance!

Honey tolerates baths fairly well but hates nails being trimmed. She would love it in a home where her people are home a lot. She is still a younger dog but doesn’t seem to know how to play games with toys. She is very food driven but at the same time very picky about dog food. She loves dental/chew bones though. She is just a little cuddle bug. She loves to burrow in blankets for sleeping which is adorable.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Honey is patiently waiting!
