Meet Gamja aka Potato! Gamja is an adorable 6 months old Jindo mix. She is very timid and shy at first, but once she opens up she can be very playful. She LOVES playing with other pups at the dog park. At home, she is a couch potato and usually loves to nap in her crate or her bed. But once she’s outside in an off-leash area, she turns into a super silly and curious dog! Gamja may bark at another dog if they approach her too quickly, but after a couple sniffs she eventually becomes friends with them.

Gamja is extremely smart — she learned how to “sit” and “down” in ten minutes! Gamja is still afraid of loud noises, cars, and people but has shown tremendous improvement in the past two weeks. When she is approached by a stranger, she backs away and tries to hide. Her fosters are working on leash training with her, since she stops frequently during walks when she is afraid of something or unfamiliar with the area.

We are looking for a home who can patiently walk her multiple times a day, until she feels comfortable going outside. She would do best in a house with a yard, preferably outside the city. She would also do great with another gentle dog, since they can guide her and help her with building confidence. Gamja is patiently waiting!
