Meet Chomi! Chomi is an adorable 6 months old Jindo mix. She was born in a city shelter along with her siblings, Remi, Bomi, and Nami. These sweet puppies were luckily rescued before their time ran out.

  • Chomi is very food motivated. She will come to you easily if you have food in your hand. She is also a very fast eater and isn’t picky at all. She is very well behaved and doesn’t beg or steal for human food. In addition, she also respects other dogs and doesn’t steal their food, but may sniff their bowl after they finish eating. She “traded” doggy ice cream with the foster’s resident dog where they both somehow “agreed” to try each other’s ice cream at the same time. There were never fights during dinner, only very excited and happy dogs.
  • She is a very smart and curious girl! Most of the day, she follows people around. Knows “sit” and “no” and is working on “down”. Chomi really enjoys her training sessions and gets very excited to learn more commands with treats.
  • Chomi gets along well with other dogs at home, but needs to be introduced slowly first. After knowing the other dog, she loves to play and kiss them. Seeing other dogs makes her more comfortable and confident. For instance, she likes to check that the other resident dog is in bed before going to sleep and kisses her first thing in the morning. She is very sweet with those around her.
  • She is high energy. Requires a regular energy outlet, so she’s best in an active home. Occasionally plays with toys alone, but prefers to play with people or other dogs. She doesn’t “chase” or “wrestle”, but she is a very fast runner and likes to run with other dogs.  Not too much interest in squirrels and other animals in the backyard.
  • Okay in crate. She willingly sleeps in a crate without being upset. However, she may complain if she’s left alone. She doesn’t bark, but may whine if she’s upset.
  • Not afraid of humans, but may run away from vacuum, broom-like objects, and leash. Perhaps she’s afraid of being restrained with the leash, but if you hold her collar and quickly leash her up, she will not run away after. When scared, Chomi is not aggressive. She only tries to run away.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Chomi is patiently waiting!
