Meet Chai! Chai was found on the streets with a long metal chain dangling from her neck and was sent to a high-kill city shelter. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and brought to the private shelter. Afterward, she went through heartworm treatment and got a clean bill of health! Chai was in a foster home from January to September 2023 and learned how to love and to be loved by people.

Chai was cautious at first when she went to her previous foster home but became a happy-go-lucky pup soon after a little bit of adjustment period. If you give her enough time and space, she can easily open up to new things! She was a scaredy-pup when it came to walking at first but became a lot more confident after having many chances of outdoor activities. She has low energy and doesn’t bark or chew things, so she can be a good fit for a family with seniors or children who have good understanding of raising a new dog. Plus, she would enjoy having another furry companion in the house. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog. Chai is patiently waiting!
