Meet Cara! Cara is an adorable 5 year old Shiba Inu. She is an absolute sweetheart. She may be very timid and nervous when she’s meeting people for the first time but once she spends enough time, she is super affectionate. She comes up for kisses and roll over for tummy rubs. As she has spent her life as a breeding dog, she is still learning to be a puppy and enjoy life.

The ideal home for Cara would be someone who understands that she needs a lot of time, trust and love to thrive. She plays well with her foster home’s 9 year old dog and is generally tolerant of their toddlers at home. It took her around 2 weeks to finally warm up to their kids (3.5Y and 1.5Y) and now allows them to pat her. Sudden movements scare her and she will attempt to run (Shiba Inu traits lol) so it’s important to keep an eye on her during the transition period!

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Cara is patiently waiting!
