Meet Bodhi!

Bodhi (fka Buddy) is an incredibly charming and lovable 9 months old Jindo mix and one heck of a smart cookie. He was rescued at around 4 months old from an abusive environment along with mom and siblings and have been living with a foster in Korea since the rescue before coming to the US, hence is amazingly well-socialized and well-adjusted living with humans.

Bodhi can be a little shy at first, but he is absolutely not timid nor skittish nor reactive at all.

It took about 2 days for Bodhi to break out of his shell to be his playful self and got used to the daily routine, and about 5 days to be comfortable around current foster parents. Bodhi had a few days adjustment period due to jetlag, but have not made any accidents in the house the after 4th night with the current foster.

Bodhi walks great on leash and is great with other dogs and all sorts of people he meets. Bodhi has a very low prey drive for his breed background, and rarely pulls (at crows) but can be very easily redirected. Bodhi has been amazing in car rides, as long as 2hour one way, total 4 hours drive along with the current fosters recently.  He likes to look out the window but mostly chills and sleeps during the ride. Bodhi is extremely food motivated and can be trained easily, and very smart and has absolutely no problem clearing level 2 of interactive toys.  He is gentle in taking treats and is not picky with food at all, in fact, kibbles are used as training treats and he loves it.

Bodhi knows the command to Sit, House (go in the crate), and with treats, can do paw/shake and high five.   He has no problem going potty in the backyard but genuinely loves his daily walks as well as intermittent playtime with the all the resident dogs, and is excellent at entertaining himself alone if necessary as long as he’s got toys or space for zoomies.

Bodhi is still a puppy with high energy mostly in the mornings, but also calms down by lunch time.  He is very smart  and would benefit from an adopter who would continue to train him to the next level to see his full potential.  Ideal home would be a loving home with someone who spends a lot of time at home, who understands the lifetime commitment to raising Bodhi as a true member of the family and set him up to succeed for the rest of his lifetime. Bodhi is patiently waiting!
