Meet Amy! Amy was previously owned but was sadly kept tied outside on a short leash facing a busy road, leaving her exposed to harsh weather conditions. Amy had no shelter from sunlight, rain, or snow. Furthermore, the constant noise from passing cars made it difficult for her to rest. The owner neglected her, failing to walk her or provide clean water and proper food.

Her only shelter was a doghouse in poor condition, infested with bugs and spider webs. A rescuer attempted to improve Amy’s living conditions but was met with resistance from the owner. Originally, there were two dogs in that yard, but one disappeared in early May, leaving Amy behind. Given the presence of dog meat trade farms in the area, the rescuer feared for Amy’s safety. After persistent efforts, Amy was finally rescued in early June.

Personality and Ideal Home: Amy responds to her name and is known for her calm, affectionate nature. She rarely barks and has shown no signs of separation anxiety during her time in foster care. She is content being alone for extended periods, focusing on rest, sleep, and eating. Amy enjoys her walks and behaves well on a leash, especially when wearing a harness or collar. She loves her daily walks. Amy is generally good with other dogs and enjoys playing at dog parks. However, she may need a bit of an adjustment period with very energetic dogs. Despite her challenging past, Amy is remarkably trusting and loving toward people. She’ll approach you and nuzzle your legs, seeking affection. She is a gentle, sweet, curious, and affectionate girl eager to find her forever family. The rescuer’s wish is to place Amy in a home with at least two family members, and it would be ideal if she were the only dog in the household.

We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog. Amy is patiently waiting for a home to call her own!
