Meet Amily! Amily is an adorable 9 months old FMD/lab mix! Amily is a sweet, gentle, happy, obedient dog. She is very smart, and makes her own opinions known, but is generally very responsive. She can be cautious in very new situations, but generally adapts quickly and is excited to visit new places and meet new people. For example, once she realized it was the way to get outside, she overcame her fear of the elevator in the building in only two days!
Amily is very chill and happy while walking. She very rarely pulls, unless she is very excited, which happens when she lunges at squirrels and birds. On a rare occasions, she has growled quietly at a stranger walking on the street at night if she thinks they might be a threat, but immediately calms down with reassurance. She is literally friendly and happy to meet just about everyone — strangers, kids, dogs, everyone! She will smile and greet everyone she sees during the day.
She has no separation anxiety and is quiet and nondestructive in the home. She loves to chew bully sticks and chicken jerky, and enjoys naps and cuddling. She doesn’t yet know how to play with balls or toys. She is an excellent dog and would be a good fit for any active person or family who either has guests over often, or enjoys bringing her out where she can socialize with lots of people and dogs! She gets the biggest smile when she can be around people, especially in the grass and sunshine!
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Amily is patiently waiting!
