Meet Sugar! Sugar was born at the Jeju City shelter after her mom arrived there while pregnant. She was a healthy little pup at birth, but a bit later, she developed an eye infection in one eye. It turned out to be a condition called Keratohelcosis, which she’s received care for and is healing well.
Sugar is a sweet and lovable little girl with the cutest, goofiest eyes. They’re a little wonky in the best way and make her look like she walked right out of a cartoon.
She was lucky to spend most of her rescue time in a comfy foster home on the peaceful island of Jeju, where she grew into the happy pup she is today. Sugar is great with other dogs and kids—she’s playful, friendly, and gets a little bouncy when she’s excited (especially if there’s food around!).
This smart cookie is highly food motivated and eager to learn, so training her is going to be an absolute blast. She already knows a few tricks! Sugar adores petting and scratches, but on her own pace—she knows what she likes and takes her time. She’s also a toy lover, happily chewing and playing quietly all on her own, and she’s always down for a nice walk without pulling too hard on the leash.
Sugar is a little cautious around people if they approach her first, but she’s completely comfortable with her foster family, showing she’s just waiting for the right person to earn her trust.
We’re SO excited for Sugar to find her forever family—someone to love and grow with for the rest of her amazing life!
