Meet Scooby! Scooby was rescued in Taiwan from the streets when he was found scrounging for food. He was chased away by people with sticks because he was hungry and they didn’t want to feed him. Once he got into shelter, he showed his sweet goofy loving side and it was quickly realized that he would be a family dog.

He is 1 1/2 years old and roughly 50 pounds of solid muscle. His favorite past times are chasing critters in the yard, playing with squeaky toys, climbing into his people’s laps and cuddling. He’s an active boy who loves to play but also can calm down  can calm down and lay at your feet or on the couch. He loves to snuggle and often climbs into his foster mom’s lab and gets as close to her as he possibly can.

He does well with men and older teens, but because he is tall and can jump up on you, we are looking for a home with kids 13+.

He is learning commands like sit, stay, and off. He knows how to use a dog door and is fully potty trained. He loves sleeping in his dog crate at night and will not make a peep. Because he’s a year and a half he is still curious and will steal pillows or shoes and claim them as his when his foster mom is not looking. He doesn’t chew them though. He just wants to have the things that are hers close to him when he’s not getting attention.

He would be fine in a house, being an only dog or with another dog that would love his company.

Scooby is patiently waiting for his forever family!
