Meet Reo! Reo is an adorable 1.5 year old Jindo mix. Reo was given to a carpenter when he was about 6-8 month old. The carpenter tied him up to a 60cm long metal leash in front of his atelier. As time goes by, the carpenter had many business trips and did not show up to his atelier, so Reo had no one to take care of him. Reo didn’t have a proper house. No roof to avoid the rain in the monsoon season, no shade to avoid the burning sun of the hot Korean summer. He was fed once in a while or not at all and his water was very dirty. One day his rescuer’s parents who has an atelier not far from Reo, discovered him with nothing but skin and bones. He could barely stand up to walk! Her parents gave him dog food and clean water and asked her for help as they knew her sympathy to dogs. They were able to talk to the carpenter (owner) and convinced him to surrender ownership of Reo to rescue.

Reo is a very gentle, lovely and friendly dog. He never showed any aggressive behaviors and is also sweet with the hens that lives next door. He gets a bit scared of bigger dogs but in general gets along well with all dogs and he seem to like people even more! He likes to be stuck next to someone and very gently asks for pets. Reo has slight car sickness and is working on getting use to car rides.

The ideal family for Reo would be a home with people who would really really love him and shower him with all the affection he lacked in his previous home. He is very gentle sweet and wants to be loved. Reo is still young so he has lots of energy and will be good for an active family. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Reo is patiently waiting!
