Nanda was pulled from euthanasia from a kill shelter in Korea. When rescued, she was shut down, severely matted, and needed time to recover. With time, love, & care– her fosters and rescue group in Korea nursed her back to health and taught her that humans are safe.

Since meeting Nanda, her personality has really started shining through. She is incredibly smart, food motivated, and loves pets & belly rubs. This girl enjoys a good snooze but also LOVES the outdoors. She does not hesitate to let me know when I’m late for her walk and she truly just enjoys going on a stroll to simply sniff and explore.

Nanda is seeking a family who understands skittish dogs. Although she has the confidence to explore what scares her, she will need some time to adjust and learn that you are her safety. Loud noises and fast movement do spook her but with treats, motivation and positive reinforcement, she seems to overcome some of the fears that she showed when she first arrived. She knows some basic commands but will thrive with more training, especially recall.

Nanda does better with a well-mannered dog sibling, as she has shown some separation anxiety (howling) when left alone. When left with my dogs, however, they just lie around until I come home. She loves playing with my younger boy– zooming up and down my hallway or running laps in the backyard together.
