Meet Leo! Leo was rescued along with his brother when their time ran out at the shelter. Fortunately rescuers were able to get them out of the shelter and to the vet for a full check up. Leo has received a clean bill of health and is now ready to find his forever home! Leo can be on the shy and skittish side due to his past but he opens up quickly with patience and is a complete love bug once he adjusts! He is a low-medium energy dog who loves playing fetch and learning new tricks, but his favorite activity is cuddling up on the couch. Once he opens up, Leo is sweet and affectionate, and a fast learner who is very treat motivated.

Leo is okay with some dogs however he does have resource guarding around toys and food so should be closely monitored when there are other dogs around, he is fine with people handling his food and toys just not dogs. He doesn’t have separation anxiety and he’s okay with being left home alone for some time, but Leo would do best in a home with a yard and someone who won’t leave him for extended periods. He would need ongoing confidence building on leash outdoors but he has lots of potential to thrive in the right care. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Leo is patiently waiting for a home to call his own!
