Meet Kane, a gentle 8–9-year-old mini poodle mix weighing just 12 pounds. Kane came from a puppy mill in Korea and is learning, day by day, what safety and love feel like. She’s a quiet, low-maintenance girl who prefers calm environments, soft voices, and patient people. While she doesn’t cuddle, she loves being near her person—resting at your feet, sitting beside you on the couch, and simply sharing your space. She startles easily with loud noises and needs time to warm up to new people, but her sweet, steady presence shines once she feels safe.

Kane would thrive in a peaceful, predictable home—ideally with a retired adopter or someone who’s home often, and perhaps an older dog companion to show her the ropes. She doesn’t bark much except when startled, and although she has some separation anxiety, she handles being alone surprisingly well. Kane prefers to eat and drink in private and isn’t motivated by treats yet, but she’s eager to learn in her own quiet way. This tender, resilient girl is ready for a home that can offer her patience, gentleness, and unconditional love as she continues to blossom.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Kane is patiently waiting!
