Dex’s journey began at the shelter where he was among the many animals at risk of euthanasia due to illness, size, or other challenges. Thankfully, many rescue organizations and individual volunteers was able to rescue all 105 animals from the shelter.
He came into foster shy and unsure. However, he has made great growth since he’s been here! He is a very curious dog. He likes to follow his people around the house. Once he gets to know you, he loves pets and asks for more! He does the cutest happy dance when you come home. Occasionally, he likes to cuddle with his human, but is perfectly content with just hanging out in the same room.
He is a bit skittish and does not like sudden movements or loud noises. He is not a barker. He sleeps well through the night.
We are looking for a patient and loving household where Dex can be the second dog. Dex is very dog friendly, often adapting to the other dog’s personality. If they want to play, he will play. If they want to just relax and hang out, he will do that too! He is still a bit nervous, so he likes to follow my dog around.
