Copper
Meet Copper! Copper is a sweet pup who’s ready to find a loving new home. He was originally adopted from HSSV on June 23, 2018, when he was about 2 years old. He came from a home with over 20 dogs, and understandably, he was shy at first and hesitant about walks. But with time, he blossomed into a calm, affectionate, and low-maintenance companion.
Copper has been a cherished member of his family and has never had any behavioral issues. Unfortunately, due to their child’s complex medical needs, which require frequent in-home visits from healthcare professionals, his family has made the difficult decision to rehome him. Copper tends to bark at unfamiliar visitors, which makes it tough to manage alongside medical care needs.
He’s up to date on all his vet visits, vaccines, and dental cleanings, and he even has Apoquel on hand for occasional itchiness.
Copper is a wonderful and generally very calm and low maintenance dog. He loves to lay on the couch, or lay on the floor next to his people when they are working. His version of playing with the kids is sitting right next to them in the middle of a game. He kinda knows the word sit. He loves to cuddle in bed with a human, and he does well at the dog boarding facility and doggy day care. He always receives good reports.
Copper would do well in a home that is not super loud, does not receive a lot fo packages and does not have tons of visitors. Other than than, Copper does well with children of all ages and adults. We’re looking for a family who understands that dogs are lifelong companions and are ready to give Copper the time, love, and patience he deserves. Copper is patiently waiting!
