Meet Cali! Cali is an adorable 7-year-old FMD/Shepherd mix that was adopted back in 2015 to a loving home. Unfortunately due to her home’s current situation, they feel Cali deserves to be with an active dog loving family that can meet all her needs and live a happy life!

Cali has a very sweet and passive temperament. She can be shy but warms up quickly to people. Loud noises startles her. She is very afraid of high traffic areas such as busy streets and crowds. So, she prefers large open parks with grass and trees. She also enjoys the beach but is uncertain about water and does not like to go out in the rain. Her recall is very good once she trusts you as her alpha, but her new home will need to keep a close eye on her while outdoors. She gets car sick, so she will need a hammock cover in the back seat with the windows open for fresh air while riding in vehicles.

She is around 40-42 lbs. and requires lots of space for her to roam and explore. Cali is house trained, but she may have accidents in the beginning. She is easily trainable once she has a routine to go potty. She craves attention and is always willing to play. She prefers to sleep near people, but she won’t sleep on the bed. She will sleep on dog beds but prefers couches.

Cali is very food driven and not a very picky eater. She is currently eating Carna4 duck meat with fish oil capsules daily. Her overall health has been consistently good with this diet. She eats twice a day 1.5 cups with fish oil capsules daily.
