Meet Tammie! Tammie is an adorable 4 year old Schnauzer. Tammie is a little shy when meeting strangers, but opens up with time and treats. Once opened up she is an affectionate girl who loves to be a couch potato. Since being in her foster home, her confidence has improved significantly. She loves to go for her daily walks and even greets neighbors who she recognizes and will ask for pets.

Tammie is house and crate trained. She still needs work on basic obedience training and socialization, but is smart and will learn quickly with consistency. When she’s on her walks and gets excited she may bark out of excitement. This is something that can be worked on. Tammie is unsure about stairs and will do fine with a few steps but nothing more. She is very mellow and lazy inside the house and loves to lay on the sofa.

Due to Tammie’s shyness, she will be ideal as a companion for a mature family. She would need a family who is willing to give her time to adapt. Once she’s opened up she is a great companion and ready to go on new adventures! We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Tammie is patiently waiting!
