Meet Jackie! Jackie is an adorable 2-3 year old husky! She was bought from a local breeder by an older man in the countryside as a “guard dog”. The owner bred her to have a Jindo/husky mix girl. Her puppy however got into a car accident and he did not give her proper treatment in time. Jackie’s pup eventually got her hind leg amputated and was surrendered to rescue. Less than a year later, he surrendered Jackie. The man said Jackie ruined his garden and he can’t properly train her.

Jackie lived her whole life on a chain. She gets excited to see people and tries to get them to pet her and pay attention to her. Since being in her foster home she has learned sit, down, stay, hold, is 100% potty trained and goes on walks 3 times a day. Jackie is good with other dogs and has no resource-guarding issues. She gets really excited when meeting new dogs and wants to play. Her foster family is teaching her to approach dogs in a better manner and she has been picking up on that quickly! When indoors, she is very low energy and chill. She loooves running outside, but when inside she naps or stays relaxed ?

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Jackie is patiently waiting!
