Meet Davey! Davey is an adorable 8 months old FMD/Lab mix. This sweet guy is a love bug and a couch potato! He is a mellow and quiet dog who loves to be around his people. Davey is shy at first due to being a stray for quite some time before getting rescued. He will need a home who understands his personality and will put in the time and patience to slowly open him up. Davey opens up quickly around other dogs. He learns to follow other dogs and gains more confidence in himself when there’s others to lean on. He will be best in a home with another dog to continue his confidence boosting training.

He is great with kids and is a cuddly guy. Davey is very treat motivated and loves to be loved. He still needs work on leash and potty training. He is really good on going on the pee pads, but will need some time to learn to go outdoors. On leash he can be skittish around loud noises and cars driving by. However, he is great on hikes where there are less noise. He loves to follow his foster siblings around. Davey loves other dogs. He loves to run and play!

In the last few weeks his foster had him, his confidence grew tremendously and his personality is starting to shine through! We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Davey is patiently waiting!
