Hi, my name is Violet! I’m a 5 year old Bichon Frisé: a small, curly-haired, French dog. I’m dressed in pure white with loosely curled spirals and a thick, soft undercoat. I was born in Korea and lived in a puppy mill, which I did NOT like! A rescue in Korea saved me from the puppy mill and gave me a temporary home. Then Love & Second Chances asked me to come to the United States and I’m glad they did! I even got my own Love and Second Chances ID tag, which I wear proudly.
I’m now living with my foster mom and dad, along with their senior dog and a foster sister. I get along great with my foster humans, all the other dogs (preferring females) and even the human kids and adults that come to visit. I sleep in my crate at night and am very happy when someone wakes up because then I get go potty and eat breakfast. I haven’t mastered going outside to go potty all the time, but do well with piddle pads. Because I’m a good girl, my foster parents trust me to be out of the crate while they are gone.
I haven’t yet discovered the joy of toys, which I understand is not unusual for puppy mill dogs. But I hear that I’ll soon find out how fun they are! I just learned how to go up the stairs but going down is still on my to-do list.
I’m as sweet and cuddly as can be, letting you rub my belly while I melt in your lap. I enjoy meeting strangers and am not afraid of other dogs (if they are not real big and don’t charge at me). I like to talk, but sometimes it sounds like growling. I’m not mean, I’m just a big talker.
