Looking for a dog to be an outdoor adventure buddy, or compete in dog sports? Dusty is a super SMART and attentive dog. He is confident and very SWEET. He adjusts really well to new people and environments. He has yet to meet a dog or person he doesn’t like.
He is good with other dogs and loves to play. He will do fine in a home with another dog that has the energy to play with him. He would also do fine as an only dog as long as he can continue his socialization with other dogs. He does like the dog park.
He is working on his potty training and is good about holding it at night and during the day when his foster mom is at work. He does not indicate when he needs to go out but does well with a potty schedule once he has learned it. He prefers to potty off-leash but has learned to potty on walks.
He is currently enrolled in puppy obedience classes and is learning fast, even the dog trainer has been impressed. He is enrolled in puppy classes until Nov. 17th. If he is adopted by then he can continue the classes with his new family. Because Dusty is so smart, his foster mom thinks that he would do best in a home with people who have had dogs before and will commit to continuing his training. He will need a home with structure and boundaries. He loves to play with toys and his foster mom gives him lots of things to chew on. When all the fun and excitement is over, this sweet pup loves to snuggle and be next to his person.
