Cat Okay with cats. She’s a bit curious about her foster's cat, sniffs and tries to groom,but does not chase her.
Kids Tested 13+ year old kids. She’s still an excited bouncy puppy, so a household with slightly older kids will be better.
Crate-trained Okay in crate, will whine initially, but will settle and nap.
Housebroken Yes
Leash Needs some training, she sometimes pulls if she’s excited.
Behavioral Initially shy, then very playful. She loves to play. She’s still teething and loves her stuffies and nylon/antler chews.
Barker Barks initially when startled.

Meet Minnie (aka Heather)! She is a sweet, smart, snuggly, playful, 6 month old baby puppy. She is a little shy at first, but then is just a loving snuggle-bug who loves to eat, play, and nap. She’s a little shy about new things and sounds. But she is very food motivated, which will help a lot with training.
Minnie knows “sit” and we are working on “down” and “wait”. She is okay on leash, but pulls a little bit when she is excited. She’ll take treats during walks, which helps with her pulling. She is good in the car and will lay down.
Minnie loves to play with other dogs. Sometimes she doesn’t realize that other pups are bigger than her and will still try to initiate play with them. She loves playing chase (both chasing and being chased), she’s a speedy puppy. Minnie can also entertain herself by throwing around tennis balls and stuffies. We are working on fetch, but sometimes she gets distracted and chews on the ball instead of returning with it.
Minnie does okay with Bunz, her foster home’s cat. Bunz cat is the boss of the house and she respects her, though she does try to groom her.
Minnie does well with older kids who are calm and understand to give her space and time. Initial meetings with new people are cautious, but she warms up pretty quickly.
Minnie is a baby puppy, so she has some learning to do. She’ll put his paws on you and look super cute if you have any sort of food. She does love a good chew to settle, so we have to make sure he has appropriate chews to chew. She is doggy door trained and potties outside in the backyard.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Minnie is patiently waiting!
