Meet Merida! Merida is an adorable 4 year old Maltese. She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was kept in horrible conditions and lived in a small rusted cage her whole life. Because of her tough upbringing, she is a shy and sweet girl. Merida is withdrawn but is slowly becoming more appreciative and receptive to being loved. Although missing some front teeth, she has no eating issues, and is food motivated. She gets along well with other dogs, but will do best as an only dog.
Merida is quick to learn! Within a one week period she learned the doggie doors and stairs at her foster home. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Merida is patiently waiting!
