Meet Rickie (aka Tigger)! He’s a 7 month old sweet, playful, friendly, energetic puppy. He is both people and dog friendly. He loves to run and jump. Rickie would enjoy a large space he can run around in. He enjoys chew toys, playing fetch (surprisingly likes to return the item), and is definitely food motivated, which should help make him easier train.

Rickie is okay with both cats and kids. He is definitely above-average intelligence and appreciates stimulation, already playing with food puzzles and wobblers; he is a clever boy. Rickie is sitting well on command, and has gotten much better when crated (e.g. he runs into the crate when he hears food or is commanded “crate”, and will now even sit before receiving food/treats in the crate). He is fine when on leash; shy of new people on walks, but definitely curious and wants to meet them. He’s very openly friendly with the other dogs he’s met at home.

Rickie can be a bit rambunctious due to his high energy, so as long as he gets his exercise he can just sleep next to you and be cuddle buddy in the evening times. Rickie has been great about holding his bladder in all night and promptly pees when let out in the morning. He has had minimal accidents inside while being fostered now for about a month. While he does enjoy chew toys, he has not been destructive to any household items besides what he’s been given, though he has tried to take an item out of the recycling bin once or twice to play with.

Rickie just loves to play and play; eventually he needs a timeout because everyone else is tired and needs a break, though he’s always happy to follow the humans around and be with them. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Rickie is patiently waiting!
