Meet Sophie (aka Haetal)! Sophie is an adorable 3 year old Jindo mix. She is the sweetest love bug you’ll ever meet and will melt your heart instantly!  Sophie was rescued from a temple in the mountains, and was thus named Haetal, in Korean it means “liberation and/or enlightenment of the mind.”

Sophie likes to be petted and has the sweetest temperament.  She is fairly independent and spends time on her bed/in the crate pen when her fosters are working or otherwise occupied.  She does well with other dogs including 3 resident dogs at the current foster. She has no toy or food resource guarding issues.  She is curious but not skittish or timid at all. She is good with strangers including kids, and other dogs.  She does pull a little on leash but will respond to a little tug to be redirected.  She does walk much better on solo walks.  She has no problem going potty in the backyard but loves her daily walks with the current foster family.

She does well in public and trail walks with other dogs; she’s been to 3 brew pubs and loved being petted by people.

Ideal home for Sophie would be a loving home where at least one person of the family works from home, who understands the lifetime commitment to raising her as a true member of the family.  Sophie is patiently waiting!
