Meet Holli (aka Hoo Chu)! Holli was rescued from an illegal dog meat farm in Jeungpyeong County, South Korea in February 2021. The first person who found the dog meat farm shared to the public about the horrible place. The farm was filthy and the dogs were all emaciated and starving. It became a huge issue on social media and people rescued 81 dogs from there. Holli was one of the rescue dogs from there.  Her rescuer provided vet care and found her a foster home where she has been living in an outdoor facility ever since.
Holli’s been very gentle and docile from a day one and opened her heart to people. She loves her food and can have some resource guarding with food around other dogs. A home with another dog will need to geed separately and not have any long chews around. She is being loved and getting trained in a shelter, but there hasn’t been any adoption requests for her yet. She was diagnosed with heartworms but was treated. She is up for adoption and looking for a nice family who can love and care her forever.
The ideal family for Holli would be someone who understands the responsibilities of raising a puppy to be a great canine citizen, and can commit to help build Holli’s confidence on walks!
