Meet Chico! Chico is the sweetest, most gentle baby puppy you’ve met. He is mellow and quiet, and then perks right up to eat, or play with the other dogs! He is happy to sit next to you on the couch, and has been known to sneak in a snuggle now and then. Chico is still teething, but doesn’t chew things up, and has the most soft mouth in the world when he plays. He does well on leash, although does need some more exposure to build up confidence. He is great with his foster mom’s cat, so gentle and loving.Chico is a bit shy, and will need encouragement to continue to grow and learn how to feel safe in this crazy world. He does seem to gain confidence from watching the other dogs do things. He also has moments when he is sure the floor is lava, and just won’t jump down off the bed or couch. So sometimes he needs to be carried to the door to potty. Once he’s outside though, he will come back in on his own (right back onto the bed or couch)!Chico would thrive in a home with a calm, older dog who can teach him the ropes. (But one who still likes to play a little!) He probably would do well with older, quiet kids, but maybe not younger or louder ones. He would love his own snuggle-kitty!Chico is being fostered in El Sobrante, and is patiently waiting for someone who can give him quiet love, and patience while he gains more confidence.
