Meet Titan! Titan is an adorable 2 year old Beagle mix. He is the perfect family dog that will fit right in! He has a great temperament – confident, curious, and ridiculously affectionate. He feels like a true 2 year old, having outgrown the rambunctious phase but still energetic and playful with dogs and people.
Titan is a Beagle mix though we’re not sure what he’s mixed with. He’s slightly taller than your average Beagle and have the characteristic Beagle howl. He has the nose of a Beagle so he can be easily get distracted by smell, but he’ll always make his way back to you.
Given his love for attention and cuddles, Titan would be best suited for a family with kids where the love can be spread amongst many. A bonus would be for Titan to find a family with another dog. His current foster home has a 2 year old, large, female White Swiss Shepherd (70 lbs!) and they took to each other after two days and now play really well together, so a female dog buddy would be best. He’s an active dog so Titan would thrive in a home where he can have 3 solid walks and/or the opportunity to run around and play with other dogs in a park.
Titan is almost completely potty-trained but we would still encourage crating him overnight until he is 100% there. He sleeps well in his crate as long as it’s nice and comfy. He’s a great walker but could still work on his leash manners. He has learned to sit, down, wait, and touch. In general, Titan is food motivated and quick to learn so consistency will be key!
Some adorable quirks: he loves to sleep in your lap and will find every nook and cranny for him to crawl into. If you leave a space behind your back while sitting in a chair, he’ll hop up and sleep right behind you. When he’s sleepy, he’ll let out ridiculously lovable moans and sighs of contentment.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Titan is patiently waiting!
