Meet Tofu ?! Tofu is a 3 year old Jindo/Chow mix rescued from Korea. Not only is she adorable, she also has a spunky personality and a whole lot of energy. Tofu is naturally curious and very much likes to be in-the-know. She wants to be a part of everything you do, even if you’re just cooking in the kitchen or taking out the trash ?
Tofu is both potty and house trained. She’s a bit afraid of the flashing images on the TV, but is slowly getting used to it. She’s relatively quiet and only barks when there are strange noises at the door. She also has caught onto a routine very quickly and knows that when you grab her leash, it’s time to go outside. She’s happiest at the dog park playing with other dogs and getting attention from other humans. Another thing she absolutely loves is car rides! Windows down, head out the windows, eyes closed-it’s pure bliss.
On walks, Tofu needs some work on not pulling out of excitement and getting distracted when other dogs walk by. Training Tofu should be relatively easy, because she’s extremely food motivated and will do just about anything for some yummy treats! Unfortunately, she does not like to feel restrained to her crate, especially when it’s closed. However, she is not destructive when bored-she will either grab a toy from her toy bin and ask you to play or sleep until you come home. In her future home, it’s best to keep the crate opened or no crate at all. Tofu also has a ton of energy. She can easily spend over an hour at the dog park and would still want to play fetch after coming home. When she is bored, she tends to pace back and forth around the house and will start panting/looking out the windows. Because of this, she will do best in a home with a backyard. Tofu also will need dental monitoring when eating and playing with tough toys.
Tofu is an absolute sweetheart and will make you melt. Her eyes are 100% always ?? and wants nothing but pure love and affection. She’ll need a dog savvy home that’s willing to give her the attention she needs, put her in a routine, and work with her on impulse control. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Tofu is patiently waiting!
