Meet Lucky! Lucky is an adorable 1 year old terrier mix. He started out with two bits of very bad luck that eventually turned into good luck! Lucky suffered an injury to one of his rear legs, and had to get it amputated. But that did not keep him down! He was picked up from the streets, taken to the vet for treatment, and then sent to a shelter (second bit of bad luck) to find a home or foster. When his time ran out at the shelter, a kind family took him in to foster.

Lucky lived with a cat at his new foster home and soon made himself comfortable. He is shy and timid when meeting new people, but quickly warms up. Lucky quickly adapted to his missing leg, and remains an active and cheerful fellow! He runs as well as four legged dogs, and enjoys playing with dog toys and with his foster family. He is very well behaved and walks wonderfully on leash! He only needs a family that can accept him with his “imperfection”.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Lucky is patiently waiting!
