Meet Birdie! Birdie is an adorable 10 months old Jindo/Shiba Inu mix. She spent nine months with several other pups in a narrow fenced in area. Birdie spent her life in that fence and only came out when rescuers came to bring her to the vet. Birdie was injured badly by other dogs, so a rescuer took her home to nurse her back to health. She has since been living with her rescuer for over a month.
When she first arrived at her rescuer’s home, she was so scared and afraid. Birdie would be scared of getting touched and was so timid that she endured two days without eating or drinking water. Her rescuer cooked homemade meals for her, helped heal her wounds, and took her outside to see the world.
Birdie has come a long way from where she started. She now loves to go on walks and is enjoying her much spoiled life. Birdie likes to play with toys and to run around. She is very active! Birdie is very kind to strangers and children during outdoor activities. She is still a but shy though and will be startled with sudden movements of people trying to pet her. Once she opens up, her bright personality really shines!
She is independent and does not like to be disturbed when she’s sleeping. She has a strong instinct to chase the cat, so would be best in a home with no other cats. Birdie is good with dogs and prefers playing with bigger dogs.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of the family. Birdie is patiently waiting! ❤️
