Meet Walter! Walter is an adorable 6 months old Jindo mix! He is a classic good boy who is devilishly handsome. Walter absolutely adores people and other dogs and will do well with either a large family to keep him busy, or with owners who are active because he loves to be outside. His dream would be to live with other doggy companions and to have a large yard to run around in.

Some of his quirky habits include loving carrots as treats, hopping like a bunny when he gets excited, and literally smelling every flower/ bush when he goes out on walks (which is why he needs some more help with leash training). He absolutely loves attention from all living things and he gets sad when he feels lonely or bored indoors. He’s not super treat motivated and instead prefers positive affirmation and belly rubs. He is teething but mostly knows to bite on his chew toys (occasionally he’ll bite on his blanket, but no furniture). He is very very quiet and really only whines when he’s left alone with pent up energy. He sleeps through the night in his crate and his self appointed bed time is 9pm.

He’s smart as a whip and learned how to use potty bells in less than a week and has had no accidents with his foster parents. He does really well when he has a routine down! Sometimes he jumps when meeting a new friend, but with more training he can learn to be more polite. In the past week he’s learned the basics of how to sit, shake, touch, and lay down (with some more reinforcement, he’ll be doing these no problem). Baths aren’t his favorite but he’s really obedient and will tolerate them. After his bath he usually feels very proud of himself and does zoomies to celebrate.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of the family. Walter is patiently waiting! ❤️⁣
