Meet Leo! Leo is an adorable 9 months old Jindo mix. His family was raised by an animal hoarder who raised them to be sold to the meat farms. They were neglected and lives in a small confined space. Even though he spent most of his time in that horrible space, he is very social with his siblings and other dogs. He’s a social butterfly!

Leo is a sweet boy! He needs a patient human who will help build his confidence. He can be shy, skittish, and easily startled by sudden or quick movements and sounds. He is aloof at first, but once you gain his trust, he seeks you for security and affirmation.

He is potty trained at his foster’s home and goes on 3-5 walks a day. Leo still needs leash training and will pull on the leash when he sees other dogs from excitement. He is easily distracted by the hustle and bustle of the city (bus, bikes, sirens, pedestrians). His foster mom has taken him on a slow 1.5mi run and he did great! He can definitely be a nice running companion!

Leo is learning how to be a dog in a loving home. His foster mom is still working on getting him to play with toys. Leo takes a bit of time to adjust to living with a new dog, so slow introduction will be needed. Overtime he does open up and is great! He can be a bit stubborn at times, so training is slow. Leo sleeps through the night (10pm-7am) with no issue.

We are looking for an active, dog savvy home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Leo is patiently waiting!
