Meet May! May is a sweet 3 year old lab and FMD mix. She can be shy at first, but once she’s comfortable she’ll love being next to you all the time. May is a quirky and silly girl who loves meal time and belly rubs. She can be nervous around new people, new dogs, and sudden sounds, but is getting more comfortable every day. Despite having been bullied by other dogs, she’s still gentle, curious, and wants to play. She’s become attached to her foster family’s dog Toasty and feels more comfortable playing and exploring with a friend by her side. She would do great in a home with mature/older kids and one other dog to help show her the ropes.
She loves going on walks, does great on leash, and while it takes her some time to go she is all potty trained. May absolutely loves lounging around and will make a nest of blankets for the perfect nap spot. If she’s not perched next to the window, then she’ll be in the cozy safety of her crate and will happily go in for naps and bedtime.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. May is patiently waiting!
