Homer

Meet Homer! Homer is an adorable 3 year old Jindo mix. Homer was found as a puppy wandering around a rural marketplace. At first the shelter keeper thought he was lost, but no one came to look for him, nor did he have a collar or microchip. The shelter thinks he was kept in an illegal meat farm and ran away. He’s a very mellow and obedient guy during his time at the shelter. Homer was often bullied by other dogs, so had to be separated from the others.
Homer loves seeing people. He is able to sit and give his paw, he also gives everyone kisses. He loves attention and will often put head on people’s hands and laps for more petting. He’s just a lovebug. With other dogs he doesn’t show much interest. He prefers to be in the company of people over dogs. Homer loves to play with toys, but does not like the share them. He has resource guarding over toys and food with other animals. He was cat tested and like to chase cats. We are looking for a home where Homer can be the only pet in the house due to his under socialization with other animals.
Homer is almost completely house broken. He may make a little accident if he has to hold it for too long. He’s great in the crate, but will complain for a little bit if he feels like he’s been inside for too long and wants to come out. Homer is new to the idea of riding in cars, so will need slow intro to it. He currently needs to be carried into the car, but once inside he stays still.
Homer needs a home who is dog savvy and able to put in the work to show him how to live in a family. He’s a sweet dog who is patiently waiting for a home to call his own!
