Meet Ace! Ace was rescued along with litter mates when they were found in a rural island located at the west coast of Taiwan where only 4 residents live. This island is where they process all the trash from mainland Taiwan. No one knew how dogs ended up on the island since it is isolated and no one can access the island without a boat. They believe these dogs were probably native from the island since the 4 residents on the island don’t own dogs. Unfortunately this means these dogs survived from eating garbage or the leftovers dumped. These dogs have since been living in the landfill. The coast guards inspecting the area found that the numbers of stray dogs were growing and exceeding more then the people who lives on the island.
