Pococo

Meet Pococo! Pococo is an adorable, snuggly Formosan Mountain Dog mix. She was found as a young puppy, along with her litter mates, when they were searching through dumpsters for food. Their mother was missing, and a rescuer was able to find them and get them all off the streets and to the vet for a full check up. She is now in the San Francisco Bay Area (east-bay) with her foster mom. At 11 months old, she is the perfect age! She is house trained, knows basic obedience, respects boundaries, and has out-grown the puppy problems; but she is still young and full of goofiness and joy. At (or very close to) her full adult size, she has the personality of a medium-sized dog, but is only a little bigger than a Fox Terrier. Pococo will be a lap-dog her entire life!
Pococo is excellent at:
– Snuggling on your lap, or on your pillow
– Giving little kisses on your nose, and nibbling your chin
– Wriggling on her back, and dancing like crazy when you come home
– Getting along with other dogs, either big or small
– Running zoomies in the yard with the neighbor’s Greyhound
– Being house-trained and using the doggie door
– Not chewing on anything she shouldn’t
– Walkng on leash
– Going in her crate when told to
– Giving the cats distance
– Being polite with new visitors
– Protecting the house from the Delivery People
– Going to new placesPococo is on the submissive side, but she will hold her own with another dog if she feels overwhelmed. She would do well in a household with or without other pets, as long as she gets trips to the dog-park. She actually seems to prefer being outside, rather than in, and needs to have a house with a yard. Having been born on the streets, Pococo takes a little while to warm up around strangers, but within 2 – 3 days she will be your little lap-dog! Pococo is patiently waiting for her very own forever family, with her very own lap to sit on, and face to kiss!
