Alex – Adopted!

FotorCreated

UPDATE: We’re very happy to share that Alex has found his loving forever home!

“Hi Melody! I realized your adopted updates have little stories. Here is ours.
After losing our beloved dog of 13 years to cancer we thought we’d never find another that matched his temperament (smart, loyal, and loving). Alex is all of those things. We are so happy to have found Alex through your organization. You can tell he received lots of love and attention before we even got him. He knew a few commands and knew general house “rules.” And he is such a snuggle bug! The first thing he did when we brought him home was run to his pillow which we bought just for him. It’s like he knew he was home. He immediately bonded with the family. His favorite people are my husband and youngest daughter. We take him to puppy school where he is quick to pick up on new commands. He loves to romp in our backyard and find sticks and sunbathe in a sunny patch of grass. He’s already shown his protective side when he feels there is a threat in the house. He barks and stands at attention. He’s still trying to figure out if the cat is friend or foe. So far our cat is not fond of the fact that he likes to chase her. But they seem to have a “mutual” respect for each other. Alex just wants to be by our side at all times. He is such a sweet, loyal puppy! We love him to pieces and are so happy to have found him through your organization! You guys are doing great things! Keep up the mission!”

Brief Bio: Meet Alex! Alex was rescued along with his littermates when they were found huddled with their mom who had passed after being hit by a car. Thankfully a rescuer was able to get them all to safety and they were soon given a clean bill of health. Alex is a very sweet puppy who loves to be around people. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Alex is patiently waiting!
