Meet Maverick! Maverick was rescue from the shelter before his time ran out, thankfully a foster home opened up and Maverick was able to make his way out of the shelter and into foster care.
Maverick or Mavee-boy is a curious and spunky “toddler” like no other. He has two speeds, full throttle and park. His fur feels like down feathers, catches every stick, leaf and piece of mud he lays in. He prefers his morning coffee in the cooler climates, then spends his afternoons laying on top of the AC vents or under the bed where it is coolest. He won’t be your 90 degree walking buddy but you might catch him on the beach from time to time.
Maverick splashes around in his water bowl like a toddler playing in puddles…the more you say no the more splashing happens. He loves other dogs and people. Does not like to share his place setting at the dinner table again, typical toddler. He will need to be fed separate from other dogs and have humans willing to work on his food insecurities.
We are looking for a home that understand the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy, Maverick will thrive in a home that will continue training and showing him what it means to be in a family. Maverick is patiently waiting for a home to call his own!
