Nanda was pulled from euthanasia from a kill shelter in Korea. When rescued, she was shut down, severely matted, and needed time to recover. After arriving in America, she had a little roadblock and turned blind for a few weeks, but through the rescue, she received the surgery needed to restore her eyesight. With time, love, and care, Nanda is absolutely thriving.

Nanda is the type of dog who takes a little bit of time to learn to trust, but once she does, her true personality is to die for. She loves belly rubs and enjoys a good game of slow-motion chase (she has short little legs and likes looking back to make sure you’re following her). She wiggles her entire body in excitement and stands on her hind legs to wave her little fluffy paws at me for love and attention. Even her eye care team has fallen in love with her due to her sweet, patient and kind nature.

Nanda is extremely tolerant and food motivated. She stands patiently through baths, grooms, nail trims, teeth brushing, and even her eyedrops! She walks really well on leash, ignoring barking dogs and other distractions. She rarely barks but will sometimes let out a few barks or squeals in excitement.

She’s really well behaved— she respects boundaries, she understands a friendly no or leave it. She sits patiently and doesn’t beg for food while we eat. She is highly emotionally intelligent and will thrive on positive reinforcement.

Nanda’s ideal home is with someone who is patient and understands that trust is earned. She also loves to go on strolls and would like a home where she gets to go out and explore. She will need one or two eyedrops to keep her eyes healthy and happy but she takes her eyedrops really well and it’s very easy!
