Meet Peanut, a smart and lively Corgi who’s ready to become your best friend and your household project manager! She was rescued from a shelter just before her time was up. Thankfully, rescuers found a place for her and got her to the vet for a thorough check-up.

Peanut is a sweet, loving, and playful dog. She absolutely adores being around people and wants all their attention. She often follows her foster around the house, joining in on everything they do. She likes to hang out by the foster’s feet when they’re working at their desk or when they’re cooking in the kitchen. She’s deeply curious about her surroundings and loves to explore everything. Peanut loves toys and zoomies. She also likes to explore around the house and yard.

Powered by boundless energy, short legs, and a touch of sheer chaos, she would be great as the only dog or with dogs around her size and energy level. Peanut is friendly with the foster’s cats but will chase them if they run. Because of the herding and nipping nature of a corgi, she’s best with a family with slightly older kids (6+). Peanut is very food motivated and wants to please. She will need some consistent training and clear boundaries to help her integrate with her new family. She will absolutely thrive in a home that uses puzzle toys, lick mats, and positive reinforcement to channel that sharp focus.

We’re looking for an active home who understands the breed and the responsibilities of owning a dog. Peanut is patiently waiting!
