Meet Sonny! Sonny was rescued from a puppy mill along with countless others. Thankfully Sonny was rescued and has since gotten a clean bill of health. Sonny is a high-energy, affectionate, and very social dog who loves interacting with people and other dogs. He’s great at reading social cues – if another dog clearly expresses disinterest in playing, he backs off. In homes with dogs who tolerate play but don’t enjoy it, sonny’s persistence may be overwhelming. Sonny gets along well with both human and canine visitors and would do well in a dog-friendly public space. Sonny enjoys “alligator play” – play growling and mouthing so will need a savvy home that can help continue training and redirection when overly excited. Sonny is a sweet, smart, and easygoing pup who’s already loved by neighbors for his friendly and playful personality. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog. Sonny is patiently waiting!
