Sqwash
Meet Sqwash! This sweet, cuddly, loving, snuggly, huggy, kissy baby-giant is waiting for you to pick up all 55 lbs of her baby self, and squeeze and squish her on your lap.
Darling Sqwash is the embodiment of affection. She will greet you by putting her chin on your leg, gazing into your eyes, and challenging you to love her as much as she deserves. Her whole purpose in life is to love, play, and be held.
Sqwash is very smart and highly food motivated. She is (almost completely) housebroken with a doggie door. She walks on a loose leash, wanting to greet everyone she sees. She has met children, and loves them as much as adults. She loves all other dogs. She hasn’t met cats, but she ignores the chickens in the yard. She is a little bit afraid of going into small spaces and cars, but is fine once she’s in. She will go into a crate and stay quietly, until the human leaves the room. She’s generally not destructive, even though she is teething. She has been left alone in the house (with the other dogs) and doesn’t have separation anxiety.
Sqwash is an Anatolian Shepherd. She is going to be a giant – probably 100 lbs or more full grown. (She’s over 50 lbs at just barely 5 months!) She will thrive in a home that understands the importance of constant socialization with a Livestock Guardian breed. She would do best with a yard, because she enjoys going outside and spending quiet time alsone during the day. She would also do well bonding with another dog, because she learns how to behave by watching the other dogs, and mimicking their behavior.
Sqwash is being fostered in the El Sobrante / Richmond area. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a baby-giant puppy / livestock guardian breed as a member of their family. Sqwash is eagerly waiting!
