UPDATE: Uma now Luna has been adopted!
“Hi Melody!!! Let us give you an update with the Luna (formerly known as Uma). First off, we would like to thank Love & Second Chances and to everyone involved to get Luna to us. My boyfriend and I wanted to start a little family and what a better way to start than with a fur baby! We couldn’t have gotten a more perfect pup for us. She was quick to adapt to us and to our home and to the new name that we gave her. She’s super loving, very very playful and daring. She is also extremely smart. For the few days that we have had her she has learned how to sit, lay dow and give us her paw (of course driven by tasty treats). She had a little bit of an issue pottying on grass but she was very quick to learn! We took her on her first trip to Lake Tahoe to where she can run on the beach and play with other dogs. She seems to love a challenge because she would always pick the dogs that were 5 x’s the size of her! Also on this trip she helped my boyfriend with our engagement!! We couldn’t be happier with this little puppy and cannot wait to spend the rest of her doggy years spoiling her and loving her. We start puppy training this week and I have a feeling she’s going to pick up everything very quick. Thanks so much again!!”

Brief Bio: Meet Uma! Uma was found running on a busy street one day by a college student who was thankfully able to get the curious puppy off the streets. The student brought Uma to the vet in hopes to find her owner, unfortunately Uma was not chipped and is deemed as a stray abandoned on the streets. The student posted Uma’s photo online asking for help since she was unable to keep her. Thankfully a rescuer saw the posting and was able to get Uma into foster care. Uma is a very loving and sweet girl who would love nothing more then to find a loving home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Uma is patiently waiting!
